Scope

This Policy describes on-device processing performed by the app. We operate without back-end servers and do not receive or transmit your data.

Data we do not collect

• No personal identifiers (such as name, email, device ID) are collected by us.
• No usage analytics, crash analytics, advertising SDKs, or trackers.
• No access to location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.

Data processed on device

• Vault items: service name, login, and the encrypted password. Passwords are encrypted locally with AES-256-GCM. The encryption key is derived from your master password using PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 (100,000 iterations; 16-byte salt). The master password is never stored and cannot be recovered by us.
• Other modules: notes, ideas, shopping list, books, movies, tasks, journal, habits, and birthdays are stored as regular app data inside the OS sandbox on your device.

Purposes of processing

• Provide core app functionality (notes, lists, journal, habits, birthdays).
• Securely store your Vault secrets on device.

Permissions & platform APIs

• No special permissions are required. The app is fully functional offline and does not send data to any server.
• The app does not use system notifications, exact alarms, background networking, or similar platform services.

Security practices

• Vault crypto: AES-256-GCM; key via PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 (100,000 iterations; 16-byte random salt). If you forget your master password, we cannot recover your Vault.
• Auto-lock: the in-memory key is cleared and the Vault locks when the app goes to background or becomes inactive.
• Clipboard hygiene: when you copy a password, the app attempts to clear it from the clipboard after ~60 seconds (if unchanged). Other apps or the OS may still access the clipboard at their discretion.
• OS protections: non-Vault data relies on the operating system sandbox, device encryption, and your screen lock/biometrics.

Data retention & deletion

Your data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.

• In-app: delete entries directly (e.g., Vault items, notes, habits, birthdays).
• Clear all app data: on Android, see Settings → Apps → Safe Organizer → Storage → Clear data.
• Uninstall: removes local app data stored in the app sandbox.
• Backups: if OS/cloud backups are enabled, manage or delete them via your OS/cloud provider.

Data sharing & transfers

We do not share data with third parties and do not transfer data internationally. Open-source libraries are used locally within the app only; they do not send your data to external services.

Children’s privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices & rights

You can view, edit, and delete your data within the app at any time, or uninstall the app. For questions, contact safeorganizer8@gmail.com.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the app evolves. We will revise the “Effective date” above and publish the updated version in the app. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance.
